Band & Zeitungsartikel / band & newspaper article
**********************************************************************************
Well, it's not THAT busy after all. :-) Today I already woke up at 4 am. I guess sleeping in yesterday wasn't that good to get over my jetlag. Anyway, this morning we went to the local High School (Senior College) where the School of Music in Missions (SOMM) played a few of their songs at lunch break. We also handed out flyers for Youth Street where the band will play as well. Afterwards, Johannes and I went to the local newspaper, the Northwest Star, where we gave a short interview about Youth Street. The article will hopefully be in the paper tomorrow and hopefully it's gonna be a good one. All of this is also to inform more people about the kick off banquet this Friday. We will see how it's going to be.

Angekommen in Mt Isa / I've arrived!

Ok, I've arrived in the Isa. Well, actually, I arrived 3 days ago but I haven't be able to go online yet. I kinda miss the Internet access at home - fast, everywhere accessable. Real luxury. My luggage decided to arrive with me this time. Very nice. I was a little beside myself on Saturday during "Youth Street" but that was ok since there weren't as many youth as usual. An entire group of girls that usually come together, had other plans that night. It was nice to be back in church on Sunday. I was warmly welcomed by everyone. Afterwards, I had lunch together with some from the church and then I went to visit a girl that didnt come to the service. Maybe u could remember her in your prayers. She works and studies full time at the moment. Because of this, she is quite overwhelmed. Last night she came by, in tears, not wanting to go on like this.
Afterwards, Johannes, his girl friend Shauna (who came to visit), Adam, Jill and me started watching a movie which we never got to finish. We just got interrupted so often and at 2 am I finally went to bed - totally exhausted. Today is our day off and I didn't set my alarm clock. So when did I find me waking up? At 2 pm. Either it's because of sleep deficiency or because of jet lag or both.
This week is quite busy. We have an outreach team here from a discipleship training school (DTS) in Townsville. The leaders are friends of mine which makes it nice to have them here. And then a band has come (they attend the "School of Music in Missions" in Townsville) that will stay for another week. On Friday we will have an offical launch where potential sponsors and parents are invited for an official kick off for "Youth Street". The band will be playing as well. We also hope to have a lot of youth at Youth Street next Saturday because of the band.
Maybe it's good to have such a busy week because I don't have to think too much about all of you at home because I really miss you. I also miss the beautiful, green Germany and the city with all its opportunities. Riding my bike and "my" car! Without car it's definitely hard here. You can't do anything! It's just hard when you have already got used to being independent. So much for today! Until next time!

Langeweile am Flughafen ? Bored at the airport
Sorry guys...since I have to pay for internet at the Brisbane airport where I'm stuck for about 10 hours, I have no time to translate everything. Let's just say God has answered most of my prayers for this flight. Maybe more later if I get bored again!

Without comment" or "Is there any hope left for me?"
**************************************************************************************
It is good to know that more people read my blog than I thought. That's at least what I heard being home these days. To be honest, if I judged according to the comments that are posted concerning in response to my posts, I would rather think that I write only for myself. (Hint, hint.) In that sense it is nice to hear that people read my blog and that it is not only a way to keep my occupied and not get bored. As if I would need that. Well, today blogging only helps me to accomplish something well-known: procrastinating packing and cleaning up my room. Does that sound familiar to what I posted last year? It's time again. I have to pack. And clean up my room. I have quite a talent to change the tidiest room into a total chaos - in only a few minutes. That's an art in itself. Alex captured a quite ironic and funny situation on picture which I guess is worthy to be published here. To understand the irony of it all, you have to click on the picture to enlarge it and note the title of the book on the right side. Yes, it is a book that I'm reading at the moment. Yeah, yeah, is there any hope for me? Anyway, I guess I gotta start cleaning since I finished translating this rather unimportant post. Too bad.

Queensland Volunteer of the Year
Check out what they showed on the news about her:

I went to the "Bü
rgerpark",(the park inside town) yesterday to go running. To be honest I didn't really go there for the exercise part but I used to love to run
through this park because I had the amazing God times. It was the same again yesterday. At some point I actually left the running track and just went to a side track where people wouldn't really go, popped in my iPod and just worshipped God. It was special and first I contemplated if I should actually tell you about it since it feels like an intimate time between God and me. But I think I mentioned it because I think you should try it, too!Montag, 5. Mai 2008
Wieso?
Toll.
